I was born in Harlem, NY on September 21, 1954.  I am a product of private school education from the elementary to the university level.  I have B.A. degrees in Sociology and History plus a Certification in Business Administration. 

 I worked for the State of  New York for twenty-six years.  My last position before my retirement was Human Rights Specialist I, a job which I  thoroughly and immensely enjoyed .  I am happily single.  I am an only child who is very liberal and humanistic in my outlook..  

 I believe that being an only child has made me extremely universalistic in outlook as I had non-related friends from various backgrounds.  This gave me a broader outlook on life.   Furthermore, being an only chlid has made me think outside the box and to be highly supportive to people who elect to go on the road less traveled.  As a result of being an only child,  I staunchly support planned parenthood and a woman's right to control her reproductive destiny.  I am also a feminist and have been so since I was sixteen years old.. 

My sociological background enables me to understand the underlying societal underpinnings as to why many  indiviiduals and social institutions function the way they do.   Furthermore, sociology assists one in understanding both individual and group social dynamics.   I am very interested in family dynamics and the importance of family planning and contraceptive education have in the advancement of the family and society.   I am also interested in social class issues realizing the direct correlation between social class and other measurable factors such as academic achievement, career aspirations, and attitudes towards life.

My hobbies are reading, sketching,  writing, and shopping, especially for shoes.  In addition to the aforementioned hobbies,  I love history and watching History Channel programs on my portable dvd player.  I also love perfume whether it is designer perfumes or perfume oils.  

 My main topics to write and critique about are the family(childfree, small, and large), fiction of all kinds especially horror fiction, and social commentary.  I  have discovered that writing makes my mind more acute and it satisfies my creative being.   I believe that having a myriad of hobbies makes one a better person and it keeps one mind alert into old age. 

My motto is education, self-actualization,  an appreciation of beauty and the finer things of life. I strongly believe that children should be exposed to cultural activities and the arts from an early age.   This makes them more empathetic and have an appreciation for finer things.

 I do not believe in societal conventions but in following my own drummer so to speak.   My tastes in food are eclectic ranging from Soul Food to sushi. I am in love with all types of Asian cuisine.  My main standby is Chinese and Japanese cuisine.  I am now curious about Thai cuisine and shall sample it.    I love to write very much.
